Patumwan Demonstration School is a leading Thai high school (Matayom levels 1-6). The school was one of the first to develop a bilingual program which has grown continually since its inception in 1996.

The bilingual program, English Program for Talented Students, now has a foreign staff of 25, in addition to 11 qualified Thai classroom teachers. The school has excellent classroom facilities and has developed a strong set of resources.

To support the school’s continued growth, the school is seeking to hire both a Mathematics and an English Teacher.

Mathematics Teacher:
The successful applicant will be expected to teach grades 7-9 (Matayom 1-3) initially, possibly expanding to the higher grade levels 10-12 (Matayom 4-6) at a later date.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Mathematics or a related field.

Generally educational certificates are preferred. Excellent subject knowledge, and strong communication and classroom management skills.

English Teacher:
The successful applicant would be dynamic, creative and have a lot of experience teaching ESL and critical thinking skills development at the high school level.

Experience with high-level reading/writing courses and/or test preparation would also be beneficial as would experience in coaching debate teams.

Requirements: Bachelors degree with the addition of an accredited TEFL certificate. Generally educational certificates are preferred. Excellent subject knowledge, and strong communication and classroom management skills.

For both positions, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in school activities, including assembly and hall monitoring and annual activities such as sports days, field trips and parents meetings.

The teaching schedule will be no more than 17 periods of 50 minutes each week, with the school day running from 7:30-16:00. The teacher will be responsible for daily lesson and unit planning, developing curriculum and collaborating with other teachers within the program.

Starting salary is B60,000/month, this may be negotiable dependent on any further education. With generous holidays and a first class medical package provided by an international healthcare provider.
