Satit Prasarnmit International School requires full-time teachers for year 7 (2 classes) and year 10 students (1 class) for the following subjects:

English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, History, IT, PE, Music, Drama, Art, Business Studies.

Teachers who are able to offer at least two of the above subjects in combination will be given preference. English, Maths and Science teachers will start in early April 2010 and other subject teachers will start in early May 2010.

The International School is a new programme within the long established and highly respected co-educational Srinakharinwirot University Prasarnmit Demonstration School, situated on Soi 23 Sukhumvit, Bangkok. The School will follow the British curriculum with students preparing for the IGCSE and GCE A level examinations. The programme will be conducted in new custom-built premises, consisting of state of the art classrooms, science laboratories, library and extensive performing arts rooms and theatres.

There will be 3 terms in the school year: June – August, September – mid December and January – mid March.

There will also be an initial three week summer course for English, Maths and Science between 26th April and 14th May, with the first full term starting on 1st June. Teachers will be employed at least three weeks before their teaching duties start, to allow sufficient time for orientation and lesson preparation. Teachers will deliver 25 × 45 minute lessons per week out of a 40 lesson week.

Teachers will be contracted for two years with the following requirements applying:

• Must be a native English speaker originating from the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United States.
• Must hold a teaching licence from one of the countries above.
• Must have at least a bachelor degree.
• Must have at least 2 years experience teaching in their subject specialism.
• Must be in sympathy with the school philosophy, willing to be role models to the students and be committed to providing the best education possible.

Previous teaching experience in Thailand would also be an advantage.
Starting salary: 60,000 baht per month with the following additional benefits:
