3 NES Teachers wanted for the English Gifted Learners (EGL) Program at Mahavajiravudh Songkhla School, Thailand.
We are getting ready for our second year of the EGL program and require three new teachers to join us for the new term starting in April 1st, 2012. We will now have a total of four classes (Mattayum 1, 2, 4 & 5) in the program. The EGL program is created for students with a desire to achieve a high level of English, with about 12 hours of subjects taught through English language a week. All classrooms are furnished with A/C, projectors, internet and speaker systems. Classes are limited to 30 students. Total teaching hours are about 18 per week, with additional time required for lesson planning, marking, etc.
Applicants should be qualified Native English Speakers who are professional, responsible, student-centered teachers that can work well in a team. This is a fantastic job that allows for a creative approach, and as we have smaller sized classes, teachers are encouraged to devote time to students welfare and community life. Knowledge and ability to use the technological tools provided is a strong plus.
Contracts are on a one year minimum basis, and we require teachers who are:
25-40 years old only,
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Certificate in TEFL or TESOL
Experience in teaching is preferred.
Mahavajiravudh supports new staff with in-house training, peer-to peer observations, and staff of English speaking Thai teachers.
