We need fun and creative people to join our educational team to teach preschool-level children. The ability to be fun, entertain and sing is essential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organize and lead activities with clear academic objectives to promote the physical, cognitive, linguistic and social development of children between the ages of 1.5 to 6 years.
2. Plan, design and implement a developmentally age appropriate full-year's daily curriculum in collaboration with the Ivy Bound team.
3. Observe and collect data about individual children’s performance and document children’s learning on a regular basis.
4. Identify the educational needs of students and develop activities to assist them to develop into well-rounded students who enjoy learning.
5. Collaborate with the Ivy Bound team in creating effective teaching resources.
6. In addition to preschool teaching, teach additional Enrichment classes and/or English language classes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
ABOVE all else, a positive attitude, sense of humor, flexibility, resilience, and a healthy dose of practicality! We are also looking for people with a demonstrated ability to plan and implement comprehensive, challenging, and developmentally appropriate curricula that can be adapted for English Language Learners. The ability to work well with children, parents, and teachers from culturally diverse backgrounds is essential.
Curriculum design experience is an advantage.
1. Applicants must be native English language speakers.
2. Minimum qualification – A Bachelors degree from a reputable college or university in the U.S.A, Canada, U.K., Australia or New Zealand.
3. Previous classroom experience working with young children. Teaching experience in the U.S.A, Canada, U.K. Australia or New Zealand is preferred.
