The Starfish Country Home School is a free bilingual (multilingual) residential school for needy children age 3 to 12 located in Chiangmai province. Most of the students are hill tribe children from northern Thailand.

We seek an experienced ESL-certified early education teacher and a primary school mathematics teacher who have preferably worked previously in Thailand and preferably speak some Thai to teach English or mathematics and other specialties (see below) for which the teacher is qualified. Classes are very small (typically 6-10 children) with a Thai-speaking assistant.

The school currently has about 50 young students, most of whom are girls. Flexibility, creativity and enthusiasm are essential qualifications. Experience in the specialties of art, music, dance, the art, sports, swimming, climbing, yoga, gymnastics, gardening, crafts or other activities for children would be useful and part of your teaching responsibilities.

The Starfish Country Home School has an innovative curriculum for both teaching English (Thai English) and mathematics.

The school is very modern, air-conditioned and has swimming pools and other attractive facilities.
