- 1 Native English Science teacher to teach high school M1 - M3 (start May 2011).
Suratpittaya School is a highly renowned government high school located in Surat Thani. Surat Thani is a regional capital of the south of Thailand, and is the central hub to tourist destinations in the south, such as Koh Samui, Koh Panghan, Tao and Krabi.
Surat Thani is set within an area of natural beauty including a number of national parks, jungles, lakes, waterfalls and hot springs.
Surat Thani is a friendly easy going town with major supermarkets and shopping facilities such as Tesco, Big C and Makro.
The successful candidate will be a native speaker of English with the following minimum qualification/ experiences:
:: A Bachelor and or a Master degree in a relevant field.
:: A professional qualification in the teaching of English as a foreign or second language (English position).
:: At least 1 year experience teaching English or Science, preferably in Thailand.
:: Curriculum development and designing test materials.
In return we will offer:
:: Excellent working conditions in modern air-conditioned classrooms and offices equipped with computers, projectors etc.
:: Salary scale beginning at 35,000-45,000baht per month dependant on qualifications and experience.
:: 5-6 weeks paid holiday per year (8 weeks for renewing teachers) and all official holidays.
:: Assistance in obtaining a Non-B visa.
:: Work permit, and teacher's license.
:: Teaching hours range from 15-22 a week.
:: Class sizes range from 25-32 students per class.
