Full-time English teacher for friendly school

A full-time primary teaching position at Attamit School is available for next term starting in May 2011.
About the School
Attamit School is a friendly school located on a quiet, leafy lane on Phaholyothin Soi 37 in the Bangkok district of Jatujak. It is situated roughly halfway between Central Ladprao department store and Kasetsart University, less than 10 minutes walk from the well known Major Cineplex (IMAX).
Job Description
As one of our teachers you will be expected to teach up to 25 contact periods per week, which includes cover for absent teachers. The main role of our English teachers is to teach English as a second language to Thai students.
All teachers are expected to assist the English department in maintaining and preparing teaching materials, prepare lesson plans and tests, correct students' work where necessary and show enthusiasm for and contribute to projects relating to the English department, as well as assisting Thai teachers in areas where the teachers' English skills may be useful.
Qualifications needed include:
1. A Bachelor's degree, preferably in the field of Education.
2. Proficiency and fluency in the English language, including the ability to speak English clearly and use correct spelling and grammar. Non-native speakers of English must have a TOEIC score of at least 850 and attach a scanned copy of their TOEIC certificate in their application.
3. At least 12 months teaching experience backed up by verifiable reference(s).
4. Previous experience teaching Thai children is a bonus.
During your 3 months of probation you will need to show that you have:
1. A dedicated, enthusiastic, hardworking and responsible attitude to your work.
2. A fun loving, mature and polite character suited to working with Thai children and teachers.
3.The ability to create and design additional materials and activities which will stimulate the students' learning and enthusiasm for English.
4. A positive attitude towards working alongside and cooperating with other members of the English Department from various parts of the world.
Remuneration Details
· Salary details provided on request subject to experience and qualifications.
· A 12-month mutually renewable contract is available, which includes a 3-month probationary period.
· Additional teaching hours may be possible on weekdays or on Saturday mornings. These will be optional and paid at an hourly rate.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 15:30 hours
