P/T Business English teacher needed for Mon/Wed evenings out on Bang-Na Trat road. 600B per hour
Pro Language is one of the leading corporations for second language studies. We are currently looking for an experienced Corporate English Teacher to join our team and work with one of our clients in the Bang Na-Trat Road area of Bangkok.
The course will focus on general business English. The class has already studied for hours, but the current teacher is no longer able to teach Mondays and Wednesdays, so we are looking for a replacement teacher to start no later than Wednesday 8th December 2010.
The class is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 17.30 to 19.30 at the Nation Tower on Bang Na-Trat Road. There are between 15 and 20 students for this course and there are at present 28 hours remaining of the course. The rate for the position is 600 Baht per hour with a 100 Baht travel allowance per trip.
A study book is provided for the course, but the teacher will find it necessary to introduce supplementary specific topic based material as well as games and activities to keep the class lively and communicative.
As mentioned, the position is paid at the rate of 600 Baht per hour, but 100 Baht will be retained from each hour to be paid upon completion of the course. There is some administration with the course, namely test preparation and report writing at the end of the course.
The client has requested teachers who can speak conversation level Thai.
The client has also asked us to ensure the teacher is active and can create exciting, communicative classes that are enjoyable as well as educational for the students.
Our requirements for this position are:
1. Candidates must be native English speakers from the U.K., U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or Canada.
2. Relevant teaching experience is preferable.
3. 120 hour TEFL, CELTA or equivalent.
4. Be available to teach the remainder of the course without cancelling more than 2 classes.
