Native English Teachers Wanted
Wat Suthiwararam High School
- Government high school on Charoen Krung Road along the river near Saphan Taksin BTS
3,000 students, all boys, enrolled in Matayom 1 through 6 - Most classes are 25-30 students, meeting once a week
- Teach using topical worksheets, lesson guidelines and answer sheets provided
- Classes meet once a week for 50 minutes
- 500 Baht per teaching period
- Hourly position, not salary (you only need to be at school when you are scheduled to teach, so you can arrive late or leave early, depending on your class schedule)
- No paid holidays or when school is closed
- School provides work permit, but teacher has to pay visa and/or permit fees (7,000 to 10,000)
- Recruiting based on 20 hours/week, 4 weeks/month = 40,000, but actual pay varies depending on holidays and school closings)
- Seeking native English teachers (UK, US, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, etc., but not all European or African countries, Philippines, India, etc.)
- University degree required, previous experience and certificate (CELAT/TEFL/etc.) preferred
- Applicants with significant experience will be considered for advanced classes (600 Baht/hour)
