Conversational English Teacher needed to teach in a large public High School in Northeast Bangkok suburbs, about 20 kilometers past Don Muang. Basic details are as follows:

• Teaching load of between 18 to 25 periods per week (There are 4 other teachers there. All schedules are made with equal number of hours.)
• Periods are each 50 minutes long
• Lesson Plan already written and in place
• Focused on Listening & Speaking
• No written exams, only Oral Exams (2-5 per term, depending on grade level)
• Visa paid for by School
• Work Permit paid for by School
• School will give assistance to Teacher, if Teacher desires, to enable Teacher to get either a Teachers License or a Temporary Waiver, under the current regulations from The Teachers Council of Thailand
• 4 out of the 5 Classrooms are air conditioned. Teaching schedule is set up to ensure that all teachers get an equal amount of time between an conditioned room or a room with a fan
• Working hours are 8 to 3:30, Monday through Friday
• You must stand at the front gate of the school, from 7 to 8 a.m. one day per week, to greet arriving students, parents, etc
• You must attend the Morning Flag Ceremony from 8 to 8:30 every morning
• You see each individual group of students for one period per week
• You must take a simple attendance every time you see the students
• Salaries range from 30,000 to 40,000 depending on qualifications and experience
• Contract is for 12 months
• First day of work would be May 3rd, 2010, last would be April 30th, 2011
• Average class size is 30 students

Qualifications Needed:

• Bachelor Degree (or higher) in any academic discipline
• At least 1 full year of teaching in Thailand (Can be waived in certain circumstances, just ask)
• A positive attitude
