Gainesville International School Chiang Rai (GIS) is a new international military academy with a rigorous American-based curriculum. Founded by Police General Prasan Wongyai, PhD, the school is in Mae Sai, one hour north of Chiang Rai. GIS is the first English language military academy in Thailand with the objective of preparing students to attend military colleges and universities in the United States. Our students will be in grades in US 7th through 12th grades. Employment would begin in 1 July 2017.
Qualifications:
• American NES
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preference given to degrees in education or relevant content area wishing)
• TEFL/TESOL Certification or established ESL teaching experience
• Basic Office and IT Skills
• Military experience, though not a pre-requisite, is strongly preferred
• Willingness to commit to active participation as a team member in establishing and developing a unique educational institute
• Interested in forming and developing young men and women into individuals of character
• Preference is given to applicants presently residing in Thailand and who wish to remain in Thailand for the foreseeable future
