Head of English Programme
Montfort College is seeking a qualified western teacher (UK, IRE, AUS, NZ, CAN, SA, USA) to spearhead this new leadership role within the school to commence ASAP. This post is best suited to a candidate who has both dynamism and experience in educational management at the secondary school level, and who relishes with enthusiasm the challenges and opportunities this role presents at Montfort College.
Qualifications
1. Master’s degree or higher + teaching qualification (PGCE or Dip Ed.) from western universities, to include up-to-date qualified teacher status and police clearance from country of origin.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching and educational management.
3. Age of 45 – 55 years old.
4. English Native Speakers (UK, IRE, AUS, NZ, CAN, SA, USA)

Responsibilities
• To lead and direct the education of several hundred students from years 7 to 12 and in class sizes of 25, preparing for CIE Checkpoint, IGCSEs and A Levels, as well as Thai educational qualifications and requirements for co-curricular subjects; also importantly, to liaise with parents and other significant stakeholders.
• To monitor and guide the academic professionalism of 25+ teaching and ancillary staff, both Thai and international, to the high standards of pedagogy required for international benchmarking and examination success, and to arrange for staff induction, in-service training, evaluation and assessment, Curriculum development, and professional development.

i. Starting salary from 60,000 baht/month includes living allowance, AIA insurance, and paid holidays, but is subject to the customary Thai government taxes.
