Foreign English teachers are primarily involved with teaching in several programs:

-E.P.: This is the new English Program that’s launching in May in Kindergarten and Primary Grade 1. Students learn English in more than 50% of classes, which will include the subjects like art, physical education, phonics, ASEAN, story time, science, and mathematics. There is both a foreign and Thai homeroom teacher.

-E.M.S.: The English Math Science mini-English program is similar to the E.P., but only these three subjects are taught in English (but there is also an English Club period and a small reading group period).

-I.P.: The Intensive Program has daily English lessons like the EP and EMS classes do, but there is no foreign homeroom teacher and students do not learn other subjects with English as the medium of instruction.

-Communicative Language: Those who teach secondary school students focus on communicative language skills and see each class three times per week. An exception is the new Smart English program, which is a special class that sees foreign teachers seven times per week and also has classes with Thai English teachers.
