English teacher required for 10 day workshop in February 2010.

Part Time English Teacher, BangkokP/T English Teacher for 60 Hour English Language Workshop

Pro Language is one of the leading corporations for second language studies in Thailand.

We are currently looking for an experienced and highly professional English teacher to join our team and work with one of our clients, a large Thai government department, on a part-time 10 day workshop. The workshop is comprised of 60 hours of study time over 2 weeks and runs from Monday to Friday from 15th February until 26th February. This is to be shared between 2 teachers, with one teaching the 3 hour morning session from 9am – 12 am and one teaching the afternoon session from 1pm-4pm. This contract therefore offers 30 hours work to each teacher.

Due to the nature of this contract, the successful candidate should have experience of teaching professional adults in a mixed ability group and be able to create lively, interactive communicative sessions which create maximum opportunity for student participation. The teacher must be confident of being able to work unsupervised with a large group while also being able to coordinate with a fellow teacher, liaising on a daily basis. Some lesson preparation will be necessary.

Candidates should be available to TEACH A SHORT DEMONSTRATION CLASS prior to commencement of the contract.

The part-time rate is 600 Baht per hour to be paid on completion of the contract.

Our other requirements for this position are:

• Candidates must be native English speakers from the U.K., U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or Canada.
• Have at least 2 years English teaching experience with adult learners.
• To have a 120 hour TEFL, CELTA or equivalent teaching certificate.
• To be available to teach the complete course/period.
• To be extremely professional in both appearance and behavior throughout the course.
