Due to the continued growth of our legal services team, we are accepting applications for the position of Operations Manager Legal Services. We are accepting applications from all nationalities (Thai and non-Thai). The ideal candidate will pro-actively lead and develop a team of 10 lawyers, paralegals and admin staff to further strengthen this part of our business and deliver on the business objectives set by the executive management team.
The core responsibilities of this position are:
- Monitoring and supporting the work of lawyers, negotiators and paralegals.
- Writing reports and updates to clients and handling client inquiries.
- Proof reading English language documents – reports, letters, contracts and other legal documents.
- Overall management of a team of 10 lawyers, paralegals and admin staff.
- Anticipate / identify challenges faced by the team and provide solutions.
- Representing clients in negotiations.
- Developing new business.
There would be other potential responsibilities depending on the successful candidates skills and interests. As a growing company, we try to constantly offer new challenges to our motivated and ambitious team members.
The ideal candidate would have all or most of the following:
- University degree or higher education – MBA preferred but not essential
- Able to communicate in spoken and written English at native speaker level
- Good knowledge of Thailand and Thai language
- Strong report writing and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical skills
- Good time / project management skills
- Management experience in consultancy industry
- Ability to work independently or in a team as required
- Previous experience in legal field is not essential
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple time-constrained projects
Personal characteristics we are looking for include organized; pro-active; client focused; quick learner; patient; strong attention to detail; team player; ambitious.
Initial period of 3 month probation followed by a long term contract. Work permit provided for non-Thais. Initial salary of 50-80,000 Baht per month depending on experience and qualifications with potential rise after successful completion of probation. Full time staff receive Bupa health insurance and opportunity to participate in employee provident fund and life insurance schemes.
Working days / hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.30.
