Pro Language is one of the leading corporations for second language studies. We are currently looking for 1 or 2 experienced Corporate English Teachers to join our team and work with one of our clients in the Rama 3 and Asoke areas of Bangkok.
The courses will focus on business English for customer service personnel and helpdesk staff working for an electronics/computer manufacturing company. There are two classes, one absolute beginner and one normal beginner. The absolute beginner class is on Mondays and Tuesdays from 18.30 to 20.00 at Rama 3. The beginner class is on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 07.30 to 09.00 at our Asoke branch. There will be between 9 and 13 students per class. Both positions are paid at 600 Baht per hour and both courses will last for 50 hours.
A study book is provided for both courses, but the teacher will find it necessary to introduce a lot of supplementary specific topic based material as well as games and activities to keep the class lively and communicative.
Classes for the absolute beginners will commence on Monday 30th August 2010 and classes for the normal beginners will start on Wednesday 1st September 2010.
As mentioned, the positions are paid at the rate of 600 Baht per hour, but 100 Baht will be retained from each hour to be paid upon completion of the course. There is some administration with this course, namely test preparation throughout the courses and report writing at the end of the courses.
The client has requested a teacher who can speak Thai to intermediate level for the absolute beginner class, and for both teachers to have experience of working with other computer electronics companies, preferably with a focus on customer service.
The client has also asked us to ensure the teachers are active and can create exciting and communicative classes that are enjoyable as well as educational for the students.
Our requirements for this position are:
1. Candidates must be native English speakers from the U.K., U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or Canada.
2. Relevant teaching experience is preferable.
3. 120 hour TEFL, CELTA or equivalent.
4. Be available to teach the entire course without cancelling more than 3 classes.
