Prachinratsadornamruung School is a large government high school located about one and a half hours north east of Bangkok. We have a successful bilingual program (English, Chinese and Japanese) and last year we opened a new mini English program. We have a friendly, easy-going staff of 9 foreign teachers and are now looking to recruit additional team members.
We are close to Khow Yai National Park, and Bangkok is easily accessible by train or mini bus /van service. It's a nice, quiet and peaceful area. If you are the type of person who needs a hectic and "heavy" social life, please don't apply as this will not be the place for you! On the other hand, if you want a pleasant working and living environment with all the facilities needed for a comfortable, relaxed and inexpensive lifestyle, please read on.
We have vacancies for the following positions for May 2011 school year:
Computer studies (2 posts.)
Teaching M1 to M6 students. Applicants should have a computer related degree, but we will also consider those with recent work experience in this subject either in a school or in the computer industry.
General science / Biology (1 post).
General science for M1/M3, and biology for M4/M6 students. Applicants must have either a biology or general science degree.
Chemistry / Health Care (1 post).
Chemistry for M4/M6, and health care for M1/M6 students. Applicants must have either a full chemistry degree or a general science degree with a major in chemistry.
We offer a 12 month full time contract with a competitive salary. The salary is be dependent on qualifications, experience and nationality, in line with OBEC regulations for government schools. The school will give full assistance with paperwork for visas and work permits. A maximum of 20 teaching hours per week. Business leave/sick pay/Thai public holidays/government health insurance/paid holidays.
In addition to teaching the core subjects, the successful applicants will also be required to teach some English lessons. It is therefore essential that all applicants have excellent English ability. Applications will be particularly welcomed from native English speakers (UK, Aus, Can, NZ, USA)
Closing date for applications is 21st February. Interviews in early March. New contract to run from April or May depending on successful candidates availability / visa applications etc. New term starts early May.
