Teacher of English conversation
Due to the impending resignation of one of our teachers, we are looking to appoint an immediate replacement.
We are a progressive and prestigious government high school in NE Thailand.
Please note that we are looking for NATIVE SPEAKERS ONLY from the following countries: US, Aus, UK, Can, NZ, Ireland or South Africa.
Students aged from 12 to 18 years old. Teaching approximately 18 periods per week plus cover when required. (1 period = 50 minutes).
The school has an award winning English Program and many classrooms have air-conditioning and computer-linked projector screens.
Location: Pathumrat is located in a very rural location about 65km SE of Roi-Et and is ideal for those who prefer a relaxed working environment. The local community is very welcoming and friendly. The school is sited on 100 rai of land and has 2700 students with 105 teachers.
Requirements:
- BA/BSc or higher
- At least one year of teaching experience
- TEFL/TESOL certificate preferred
- Native speaker (USA, Aus, UK, Can, NZ, SA etc)
- Willingness to participate in non-teaching activities (sports day etc)
An ability to teach an additional subject - Health or Social Studies (up to Mathayom 3 level) - would be advantageous.
Salary is approximately 30,000 baht per month dependant upon experience and qualifications.
School will prepare all of the necessary paperwork for work permit and visa.
Good value, quality rental is available locally.
Contract: immediate start until Mar 31st 2011. Renewal of contract is guaranteed, subject to satisfactory performance and agreement between both parties.
