Assumption College Bangkok is currently seeking QUALIFIED Early Childhood, Primary/Elementary and Secondary teachers to teach in our primary school's English Program (EP). All positions will commence in March 2011.
Information below:
1) At this time we are seeking applicants who are CURRENTLY TEACHING in regular primary/secondary schools in Australia, USA, Canada, UK and New Zealand ONLY. To be more specific, we are seeking applicants from ABROAD ONLY at this time.
2) We will accept applications from local applicants in January, 2011.
3) All EP teachers MUST be qualified with a Bachelor Degree major in Education OR a post graduate teaching certificate (Dip. Ed or PGCE equivalent).
4) Grade 1-3 Primary School EP teachers teach English, Mathematics, Science, and Health to their own 'Homeroom' class only. They are responsible for the welfare of the students in their class as teachers are in Western Countries.
5) Grade 4, 5 and 6 Primary School EP teachers specialise in teaching English, Mathematics, Science and/or Health to more than one class. These teachers are also responsible for the welfare of their 'Homeroom' class as teachers are in Western Countries.
6) All teachers teach for approximately 18 hours per week.
7) Class sizes are 20 students for Grade 1 and 25 students for older Grades. There are 100 students in each grade.
8) There are almost 600 students learning in the Primary School EP. There are 30 foreign teachers in EP.
9) Successful applicants will receive a generous package including salary, living allowance, health insurance and approximately eleven weeks paid holiday.
10) All appointments are for a period of one year beginning in late March, 2011.
