Phonics Teacher

Mr. Tim’s Learning Land opened in 2007, with a new approach to teaching reading and writing; delivering quality synthetic phonics programmes direct from the UK classroom to Thai and International school children, with the goal of improving children's pronunciation, reading, and writing skills.
Mr. Tim’s Learning Land, Bangkok is excited to deliver a new concept for 2022, partnering with local Thai schools, offering the same high quality phonics tuition and teacher training to a more diverse range of students and teachers. Our first partner school is based in Ban Rai, Uthai Thani province, approximately 230 kilometres from our Bangkok branch, with the new candidate being ready to start at the beginning of April for summer school duties.
Under the guidance of fully qualified UK Primary Teachers, we are looking for a bright, young highly motivated individual to be trained in all areas of synthetic phonics teaching and our Macmillan English reading comprehension and writing curriculum.
The position is for Tuesday – Saturday (Sunday and Monday holiday)
Hours of work will be 8am - 4pm with some flexibility needed to suit the school’s timetable.
You will need to meet the following requirements:
1. Native / Fluent English speaker with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
2. Classroom experience of at least one year
3. A genuine desire to teach and strive for professionalism and excellence
4. An aptitude and willingness to use ICT in the classroom (classrooms have large IWB’S)
5. An ability to work on your own initiative
In return we will offer you:
• Salary of 40,000 per month
• 12 month contract with all holidays paid
• Furnished apartment near the school
• Guaranteed extra classes (Tuesday – Friday)
• A minimum monthly salary of between 45,000 - 50,000 inclusive of extra classes
• An option of an extra 8,000 per month for working Sundays
• Work Permit paid by ourselves
• Strong support in all areas of training and CPD
