English Teacher required in Government High School
We are seeking a full-time English teacher to complement our expanding English Program.
Please note that we are looking for NATIVE SPEAKERS ONLY from the following countries: US, Aus, UK, Can, NZ, Ireland or South Africa.
Our students are aged from 12 to 18 years old. Teaching load is approximately 18 periods per week plus occasional cover when required. (1 period = 50 minutes).
The school has an award winning English Program and many classrooms have air-conditioning and computer-linked projector screens.
Location: Pathumrat is located in a very rural location in NE Thailand (about 65km SE of Roi-Et) and is ideal for those who prefer a relaxed working environment. The local community is very welcoming and friendly. The school is sited on 100 rai of land and has 2700 students with 105 teachers.
Essential requirements:
- BA/BSc or higher
- Healthy mind and body
- TEFL/TESOL certificate
- Motivation to teach and positive attitude to students' needs
- At least one year of teaching experience
- Native speaker (USA, Aus, UK, Can, NZ, South Africa etc)
- Keen participant in non-teaching activities (sports day etc)
An ability to teach one additional subject - Science, Health, Social Studies or Mathematics (up to Mathayom 3 level) - would be advantageous but is not an essential requirement for this position.
Salary is approximately 30,000 baht per month dependant upon experience and qualifications.
The first month of employment will be subject to a probationary period.
The school will pay for your work permit and prepare all of the necessary paperwork for your visa to ensure a trouble-free application.
School can provide temporary dormitory accommodation until teacher has made permanent living arrangements. Good value, quality rental is available locally.
Contract: May 1st 2011 to March 31st 2012.
