Full-time primary teachers for government school

Saritdidet School is a government school on the Eastern Seaboard with a well established English program, friendly, easy-going staff, excellent resources and staff support. There are currently 12 native English speaking teachers teaching in the English Program and most of them are long-term employees. The English Program at Saritdidet School is reputable and has had positive results, including one student winning the gold award at the "Jewel in the Crown" national English competition and others winning national speech contests and other awards. In fact, our school is so successful that we are looking to expand the English Program.
The EP grade 1 teachers will be responsible for teaching one class (maximum size 36 students) six subjects, for 15 hours per week; English 7 hrs, math's 2 hrs, health 1 hr, art 1 hr, craft 1 hr, PE 1 hr, computers 1 hr and club 1 hr. You will work alongside a Thai homeroom teacher, who teaches the remaining hours and in addition, you'll have an English speaking Thai co-teacher present in your class, to assist.
We provide a monthly salary (starting at B30,000 per month and subject to change each year), work permit and Thai health insurance scheme. The successful candidates must pay for their own visas. There is also an opportunity to earn extra by teaching a few extra hours per week. You will be expected to work for a probationary period of 3 months (fully paid, of course) and must follow the requirements of the Thai Teacher's Council to get a visa.
The right candidates MUST be:
- NATIVE English speakers
- degree certificate holders. We are unable to recruit applicants without at least a 3 year degree certificate such as BA or BSC in any discipline.
The following would be preferred:
- EFL certificate holders
- those with at least a year's experience of teaching
