The English Programme of Benjamarachutit School is looking for a science teacher for our Matthayomsuksa 1 and 3 students for the upcoming academic year.

We would like only native English speakers from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia holding at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject. Teaching experience would be an advantage. The successful applicant will be offered a 12 month contract (April 1st 2011 – March 31st 2012), a starting salary of at least 30,000 baht/month and the school will also pay the personal income tax and pay for the Work Permit. The cost of the non-immigrant visa is the responsibility of the teacher.

The teaching hours will be no more than 20 fifty-minute periods a week. Teachers are required to be at school full-time from 7.40 to 4.30 Monday to Friday and are expected to act as an advisor/homeroom teacher for one class. You will also be required to take part in our English Camp, and accompany students on a trip to either Singapore or Chiang Mai.

Benjamarachutitt School is the largest government secondary school in Nakhon Sri Thammarat province. Nakhon Sri Thammarat is a medium sized Thai town situated on the South East coast some 800 km south of Bangkok and 200 km north of Hadyai. The school itself has over 3,000 students, of which approximately 350 study in the English Programme. The English Programme was set up in 1999. At present there are 15 teachers within the programme, 6 of whom are Thai, and the other 9 are from the UK, USA, Australia and Sweden. Many of our foreign teachers have been here for several years.

The programme has 2 well-equipped science laboratories. They are both air-conditioned, as is the office. Each member of staff has their own desktop PC connected to the Internet and there are many resources available in the library.
