Native English Teacher

On average the successful candidate will teach between 18 and 22 periods of 50 minutes per week with students aged between 12 and 18 years old, focusing on conversation techniques and communication in English.
Thai students in this area can be very shy and lack the confidence needed to speak English, so the ideal candidate would be energetic, encouraging and patient to allow students to feel comfortable around the native speaker.
The ideal candidate would be a native speaker from the United Kingdom, USA, Australia or Canada, under the age of 30 and hold a university degree in any field. TEFL qualified teachers are desirable but not essential, as the focus for teaching is on conversation rather than grammar, etc.
The working week is Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30 and 4pm. In the evening there are many small restaurants and cafés to visit and at weekends the area of Phipoon boasts incredible natural beauty to visit including mountians, two reservoirs, waterfalls, Big Bhudda and temples.
The nearest city of Nakhon Si Thammarat is roughly an hours drive away but offers shopping, cinema, restaurants and further tourist attractions. Rail and bus links can quickly take you to other popular tourist destinations such as Surat Thani (including the islands of Koh Phangan, Koh Samui and Koh Tao), Phuket and Krabi and for a longer journey the overnight train or a short flight can take you to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.
The job comes with a generous salary of ฿33,000 per month and includes a FREE teacher house within the school grounds. The teacher house is equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms (one bedroom is air conditioned) and living area. Many appliances are provided such as fridge, microwave, cooker, washing machine. The only bills to pay are Electricty of ฿300 per month and the optional motorbike rental (recommended for getting about easily) of around ฿2000-3000 per month.
Holidays included are around 2 weeks in October for summer break, mid March and all of April after the end of the school year plus all Thai national holidays. During these times you can explore further afield and take in the beauty, culture and nightlife that Thailand has to offer. Recommended trips: Koh Phi Phi (natural beauty, boat trips, beach parties), Bangkok City (shopping, nightlife, history and culture), Krabi (natural blue lagoon, hiking, boat trips).
During your time as a teacher at Phipoon Sangkharak Pracha Utith School, a neighboring host family (fellow teachers) will look after you with kindness and compassion. They will ensure you feel comfortable and have everything you need and will be on hand to help with any problems or worries you may have. The host family will also take care of the tedious process of obtaining a work permit and teacher license, saving you a great deal of time and paperwork.
Airport pickup will also be arranged so you can arrive safely and comfortably.
Documents needed: copy of Passport, copy of University Degree, NON-B Visa from your country, copy of clear Police criminal record check, TEFL certificate (if applicable).
Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential for native English speakers.
