Full-time Lecturer of English at NULC

Conditions of Employment: – A 1-year employment contract with Naresuan University Language Centre as a lecturer of English (for General Education English courses) – 20 hours of teaching/week in Semester 1 and Semester 2 and 15 hours/week in the Summer Term or the equivalent amount of workload plus additional tasks by request during office hours. – 37,950 baht/month (salary: 33,950 baht + accommodation 4,000 baht/month) (with 750 baht deducted from each month’s salary for social security) – Visa and work permit fees paid for by Naresuan University while in Thailand and while working for Naresuan University – Start date: 1 July 2017

Qualifications of Applicants: For native speakers of English from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or near-native speakers of English from the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka and other countries – Preferably a master’s degree but outstanding Bachelor’s Degree recipients from an accredited Institutions of Higher Learning are considered. – A TEFL certification from an accredited institution – A minimum TOEFL score of 580 or IELTS 6.5 or Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT)* score of 80 (Level C1) – A positive attitude towards working in the Thai contexts and a quality of a good team player – Prior teaching experience is advantageous.
  • The Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT) is an online English proficiency test administered by Naresuan University Language Centre for 1,000 baht/test/person. The applicant can apply for the test in person at Naresuan University Language Centre.
