RESPONSIBILITIES
I . General Duties of the Homeroom Teachers:
1. Get to know each student in the homeroom.
2. Be available and approachable, setting tones of friendship.
3. Encourage students to feel “important” and to be moral persons.
4. Develop a sense of community in the Homeroom.
5. Monitor behavior, advice and encourage observance of School Code.
6. Be knowledgeable of Pupil Service Programs offered by the school.

II. Special Duties of Homeroom Teachers: (Retention and KPI)
1. Records
a. Keep accurate records of attendance
b. Take notice of each student’s Report Card and Academic Progress
c. Write commendations on the Report Card when appropriate
2. Report
a. Report to the Disciplinary Official any student absent for more than two days.
b. Report to the Disciplinary Official or School counselor any student with a pattern of late arrival or behavior problems
c. Refer matters of concern or risk to Coordinator/SD
d. Refer to Parents when issues of concern arise
3. Communicate
a. Bring to notice Bulletin matters during each Homeroom period
b. Deliver memos from school personnel or counselors to student
c. Discuss issues of relevance with the students
d. Advise students on issues such as organization of work/time management,
and how to deal with conflicts
e. Give feedback to the Administration when issues of importance have been discussed
f. Dialogue with Counselors, Parents, Coordinator (Assistant SD) SD or with the student’s other teachers when there is concern
g. Communicate with parents on the regular basis concerning student’s progress
4. Monitor
a. Check attendance, and encourage respect at the Morning Assembly
b. Monitor Dress and Behavior Code
c. Monitor students’ behavior in the class
d. Welcome Parents for dialogue as needs or occasions arise

III. Enhance the acceptance of cultural diversity
1. Develop Community Spirit
a. Plan team-building activities, assist in school events
b. Cooperate with the Student Council on events, elections, and plans
c. Celebrate successes, birthdays and friendship in the classroom
d. Collaborative work of Thai and Non-Thai teachers in planning activities for students together
e. Actively participate in activities organized by school/ teachers
2. Support and Care
a. Set a tone of kindness, openness and friendship with the students
b. Be available, with set times for sharing one-on-one
c. Dialogue with the homeroom group on matters that interest them
d. Welcome Parents for dialogue as needs or occasions arise



TIME REQUIREMENTS
1. At Assembly and Homeroom period
• Take attendance.
• Monitor student behavior.
• Enforce dress and appearance code.
• Read the daily Bulletin.
• Make daily contact with the students.
2. Extended Homeroom period (a 30- to 45-minute period once a week)
• Plan and facilitate lessons related to the curriculum.
• Work with other homeroom teachers to organize grade-level activities.
3. Meetings
• General Homeroom Teacher meetings once a month and when needed otherwise
• Grade-level meetings once a month and when needed otherwise
• Professional development
4. Individual Conferences
• Home room teachers should be available at least 30 minutes per week to give individuals or
groups an opportunity to discuss academic and personal issues in a caring and
essentially confidential manner. Appointments may be scheduled or ad hoc.
5. Workshops
• Day or overnight activities to further promote the program’s goals
• To give a better opportunity for advisor/advisee to get to know one another more
effectively, build trust, and promote team spirit.


YOU ARE

Native English speaker from either the United Kingdom, The United States of America, Canada, Ire-land, Australia, or New Zealand.

Bachelor degree preferably in Education

Min 2 year Experience in teaching.


Working: Monday to Friday
Location: Rangsi, Pathum thaini
Salary provide: Depends on teaching experience plus visa and work permit.
