About the Area
Chachoengsao is a mid-size community located about 50km from Bangkok with easy access to Bangkok by van or train (approx.. one hour). Chachoengsao is just a short ride to several small, less touristy islands and beaches as well as Pattaya. Right in town you can find a few attractions such as the famous temple Wat Sothon and Ganesha (The Pink Elephant temple). With a large expat community there are a number of group-based activities to participate in such as yoga, intermural football (soccer), and volleyball. A beautiful park resides in the middle of town to run, walk, picnic or find a pick-up game. The river is also a nice place to run along.
Chachoengsao has items you would find back home with a brand-new Robinsons Mall, Big C, Makro, and Homepro. The movie theaters also play a daily English speaking film. There are a countless amount of bars and restaurants to dine at and a club. New places for a fix of Western food are popping up everywhere as well.
The schools in town are well run and well equipped! Most classrooms in the English Program have air-con, computers, wifi, and projectors. The offices also have computers, B/W and color printers and other supplies. Overall, they are great places to work.
Accommodation is easy to acquire and usually runs between 3,500-6,000baht depending on your preferences (single room apt/house). Most apartments come furnished with a/c, wifi, tv, wardrobe and a safe place for your motorbike.
Chachoengsao is a great place to live away from the tourists and connect with the local Thai people, but still be close to city life and attractions.
About the Job
There is a Thai assistant and a full curriculum to follow. So you don’t have to worry about coming up with your own lessons. All classrooms have air-con and projectors. This means that you can play things through your lap top if you wish.
It is a truly friendly school that has its teacher’s well-being at heart. Anybody that takes a job here will not regret it. The successful teacher will receive full pay during the holidays, and a work permit will be provided. There is a large team of native speakers at the school already. So lots of people to make friends with, and get advice from.
