Full-time Early Years Teacher

We are looking for an Early Years Teacher to join our team at The Learning Tree Nursery & Kindergarten, Koh Phangan, Thailand.

The role of the Early Years Teacher is to develop the social and communication skills of the children and provide a safe and secure environment in which the children can learn through fun & play.
They will build and maintain relationships with parents to further support students.

Responsibilites:
▪ To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the Nursery & Kindergarten.
▪ To give support to other personnel within the Nursery & Kindergarten.
▪ To implement the daily routine in the classroom.

Start date:
▪ Monday 2nd May 2016
▪ 1 year contract

Hours of work:
▪ Monday to Friday
▪ 8:00am – 4:30pm

Pay & Benefits:
▪ Salary; dependent on experience and qualifications
▪ Probationary Period; 3 months
▪ Work permit and Visa; processed and paid for by The Learning Tree
▪ After probation period; full paid holidays – up to 10 weeks per year

Duties & Responsibilities:
▪ motivating and stimulating children's learning abilities through fun and play activities, often encouraging learning through experience;
▪ providing a high level of care and support to children and providing them with a secure environment to learn;
▪ developing and producing visual aids and teaching resources;
▪ organising learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of resources;
▪ assisting with the development of children's personal/social and language abilities;
▪ supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication;
▪ encouraging children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play;
▪ developing children's curiosity and knowledge;
▪ sharing knowledge gained with other teachers and parents;
▪ observing, assessing and recording each child's progress;
▪ ensuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery/kindergarten.
