The Starfish Country Home School is a free, bilingual, kindergarten and primary school for about 90 resident hill tribe children and 30 selected Thai day students located at the site of a former resort on the Ping River near Maetaeng, in rural Chiangmai province. It is not affiliated with any religious group.

We seek a woman with a clear American accent to assist in development of our award-winning early childhood education curriculum through preparation of content, audio and video for new teaching materials for classroom use, dissemination on the Internet and publication. The person will also teach English pronunciation and conversation to young students.

This position will receive compensation of 20,000 Thai baht a month, which includes a free private air-con room in a new staff building and all meals served communally. The 29-rai (~12 acre) site of the school has the school, residential and dining facilities, swimming pools, a tennis court and a large new building for performance and events. Upon completion of a one-year contract, the person will receive a bonus of one-month’s salary plus reimbursement of visa and work permit costs.

Relevant experience in audio and video production and the American female accent are essential.

Prior experience in education, public speaking, working with young children, acting, performance, artistic endeavors and in speaking Thai are useful, but less essential.
