Hello, I am a native English speaker (also a Thai national) permanently resident in Chiang Mai. I offer general and IELTS English tuition (lower intermediate to advanced levels). I also offer ‘academic study skills’ tuition for students wishing to study English language university degree courses. This focuses on essay writing skills such as note taking, skim reading, structuring an essay, paragraphing and paraphrasing. I can also advise on resume writing and interview technique.

I have a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from the University of London and successfully completed a 140-hour Advanced TEFL course in December 2014. I also completed an IELTS preparation course in January 2015. Since arriving in Chiang Mai last October I have been working as a private tutor at an English language school on Nimmanhaeminda Road run by Ajarn Suwanna Tantayanusorn, Assistant Professor of English at Chiang Mai University.

I am friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely enjoy teaching English and the academic skills necessary to succeed in English language university courses. I enjoy tutoring one-to-one as it allows me to build a rapport with my students and to personalise lessons to suit individual language goals.

Hours: 9am-6pm Mon-Fri and 9am-5pm Sat/Sun

Rate: 350 baht per hour
