We are looking for a female Kindergarten/Nursery Homeroom Teacher, starting immediately. The candidate should be passionate, energetic, creative and responsible with a caring attitude towards children.
Phoenix Wittaya School is a well established school and has about 350 students within the school. We are a bilingual school with a Thai and English programme. The English programme follows a strong structure and resources, as well as planning is based on a digital format. We focus on interactive student-centered learning.
Within the school building is a computer room, science room, library and swimming pool, football field, chairball and basketball court and an outdoor play area. Each classroom is fully equipped with a range of teaching resources with interactive screens, accessible to our digital platform. Primary teachers can use the new teacher's room for planning and printing resources.
The class sizes are generally small, not more than 25 students per classroom.
Phoenix Wittaya is located in the Jomtien area of Pattaya, in the suburbs and close to Jomtien beach. It is the perfect location to work if you enjoy city life or the peaceful beach life. There are lots of cultural attractions within the area and Bangkok is only a couple of hours drive away.
Basic Job Description:
Start date: July 2020
• To facilitate teaching and learning. • To teach English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills), Grammar, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. • Lesson planning and basic record-keeping. • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:40 - 16:00 (7:40 AM - 4 PM).
What Phoenix Offers You?
Up to 60,000 THB for teachers with a degree in education or degree plus a postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) and for teachers with only a degree in any other field, 50,000 THB.
Once you have your work permit, you can join the Thai social security scheme, 750 THB/per month, contributing on a 50-50 basis for medical treatment. The school also provides accident insurance free of charge, which covers up to 10,000 THB.
Approximately 7 weeks paid vacation which is allocated at various times of the year upon passing probation.
Free lunch at the school (Thai food).
Education of the teacher's child(ren) will be given free of charge at the school, as long as the child's age allows placement within a grade already open. This benefit will only cover the admission and tuition fee.
Visa and work permit fee reimbursed on completion of the contract by the school with assistance on visa paperwork.
