A yet to be opened, brand new and cutting-edge Berkeley International School seeks a principal who will lead the school in what will be its first year of operation. Located in the business district, Sukhumvit area, on an estimated size of 30 Rai (48,000 sqm) plot of land.

With an amazing brand new campus, the school is looking for a principal with a positive, and professional work ethic, who is open- minded as well as being sincerely dedicated to the best interests of the student’s education and development. The position is for full time and is a very special position, as the applicant will be able to be play a large role in creating something new and exciting, as well as helping to build the foundation to help this new institution realize its goals and objectives.

It is our primary goal to create a school that truly represents an international environment so that students can experience the most from both our American curriculum and international atmosphere. The school’s campus is promised to be one of the most captivating learning environments in Bangkok and is intended to create a majestic campus lifestyle for all, providing and facilitating all members with capitol accommodations. The school will start commencing enrollment in 2010, bringing in world-class educational programs that allow students to absorb effective learning, resulting in an accelerating development for the minds.

Qualifications:

• Native English speaker
• Experience of setting up new school will be an advantage
• Managing, coaching, mentoring, and advise the Board of the School on strategic development, planning issues and recommendations
• Monitor performance, goal to ensure the process is being made and the corrected action is taken
• Must be familiar with international environment
• Highly responsible (must be in charge of the whole school and its staffs)
• Committed to the school, the students, and its staff
• Has a good understanding of Asian culture, emphasis on Thai culture
• Drive & enthusiasm in order to enhance the success of our school in the community
• Passion for children’s Development
• Extraordinary candidates outside of education will be considered.

Requirements:

• A minimum of Master degree with teaching qualifications, candidates with PhDs and similar past experience would be an advantage
• At least 3-5 years of experience in using managerial skills in their past jobs
• Computer literate
