Native English speaker required to teach English to undergraduate students. Salary 30,500 - 34,000.

One English teacher required to teach undergraduate students at Uttaradit Rajabhat University with an immediate start date (the next semester starts 24th October 2012). Hours are around 16 per week, with no evenings or weekends. The monthly salary is 30,500 for a BA and 34,000 for an MA. There is also an annual bonus and a system of annual increments. Applicants should a degree in any fields and preferably also a TEFL or TESOL. Applicants must be native speakers.

Uttaradit is a small town between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, with good road and rail links. It boasts a Tesco-Lotus, KFC, Pizza Company, a disco and a department store. Uttaradit has many areas of natural beauty such as the lake and its surrounds at the nearby Sirikit Dam. There is little tourism, as the town does not feature in Lonely Planet or Rough Guides. If you want to learn to speak Thai and integrate with the local Thai community, this position might be of interest.

The university is well resourced for English teaching. There are computer labs, a well-stocked library with up-to-date books, CD's and DVD's and a new self-access language-learning centre. The university also has a 50-metre swimming pool, a gym with free-weights and Nautilus-like machines, tennis courts and synthetic running track.
