Full-time Kids Daycare Teacher (6 weeks)

Position: Daycare Teacher in the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Pathumthani campus Thailand

Period of Employment:
• 2 July - 11 August 2012 (6 weeks)
• Monday – Friday
• 7:30 am – 17:30 pm

Salary: 25,000 THB for 6 weeks

Restrictions:
• Excellent English
• Experience with a group of kids aged 3-6
• Female is preferred

Description: We are a small group of working mothers working and living in the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), who decided to open a small daycare group for our children and the children of our friends, during the summer holidays in July.

We are looking for a daycare teacher who has the following characteristics:

• Teacher must have experience in working with a group of kids aged 3-6 years old (IMPORTANT)
• Teacher must have loving and caring attitude towards kids
• Teacher must have patience to manage children from different nationalities
• Teacher must be able to handle naughty/crying children
• Teacher must be able to be firm with children in a loving manner
• Teacher must be enthusiastic with a happy attitude
• Teacher must be creative and energetic

Teacher responsibilities:
• Supervise children at all times (you will have an assistant to assist you in all activities)
• Follow the daily schedule of activities for young children aged 3-6, and be well prepared for all activities in the schedule.
• Encourage and engage all children to join all activities and build their confidence individually
• Prepare in advance for all activities for children (you will be provided with all necessary materials)
• Establish routines and provide positive guidance
• Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
• Implement positive discipline when required
• Ensure children are safe at all times
• Keep the room clean and tidy (the assistant will be there to help with this)
