FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
Are the jobs listed here real?
Yes. We do our best to control spam and other advertising, so you will find that the vast majority of jobs posted here are authentic and sincere. The administrators of the site are Thai nationals and actual teachers in Thailand, and have a vast understanding of the domestic education system in Thailand.
How much does it cost to list a job?
It's free! We wanted to build a service that was both free and simple to post jobs for teachers serving Thailand. We hope a free service like this can lend a hand in bringing quality educators to the Kingdom.
How do I post a job?
Just click the button labeled "Post a Thai job" which is located near the top right-hand side of any page. Follow the instructions, and your job will be created. If this is your first time posting here your job will need to be manually approved by an administrator, but this usually happens very quickly (not more than a few hours).
I posted a job but I can't find it on TeachingThailand.
If this is your first job posting, or you do not have any jobs active at the present time, an administrator will need to activate your new job posting. It will be live in less than one business day.
How do I get my school/organization on your list?
Just send an email to email@example.com with the following information:
* School/organization name
* Website address
* Email address for the main contact
Once the information is verified, we will add you to the list.
How do I apply for a job?
If you click a link to review a particular job, you will see information about the job. Under the description, you will see a link labeled "Apply now." Click that link, and text fields will appear to apply for the job. You can attach a resume or CV to your request. Enter your information and hit "Send my application."
I want to apply, but I don't have a resume handy.
Even without a resume, your information will still be sent to the person who posted the job. Some jobs, especially some volunteer positions, may not require a full resume to be considered.
My city is not on your list!
Click the "other" link, and a text box will appear. Enter your city there.
What information do you store?
Are you going to spam me?
How do I search the jobs listed?
Near the top of every page, there is a text field with "search for a job" inside of it. To search, clear the text and start typing whatever you want to find. You may include multiple words (separated by commas if they are separate keywords).
I applied for a position and haven't heard anything.
Different schools and organizations work on different schedules, so it may take some time to hear back about a position.
I found a fake job on your site.
From time to time, a job that should not be on the site may appear. In this case, please click the "Report it!" link at the bottom of the job detail page to let us know about it.
